Nick Marriner from the Chilterns Conservation Board is working on a Landscape scale conservation project in the central area of the Chilterns AONB. Working with a cluster group of 18 farmers he is leading the planning and delivery of a number of key chalk grassland restoration projects and wider grassland management. His talk will share the exciting progress the farmers are making, the support offered by the National Lottery Heritage Funded project, an exciting case studies of work at Lodge Hill SSSI and a real insight into the challenges involved in chalk grassland management on a landscape scale. He will also share the key role grassland monitoring plays in his work on both a site and landscape scale.
A cash collection for the speaker's chosen charity (to be announced) will be made on the door (suggested donation £3).
