Ellie Mayhew spent six months working as a Research Assistant in the Kalahari Desert, collecting data on a cooperatively breeding bird species, the White-browed Sparrow Weaver. She will provide an insight into life in the field, including the life history of Sparrow Weavers, her role as Research Assistant and how this unique ecosystem is threatened by climate change.
