Flies are some of the mechanical marvels of the natural history world but are ignored at best, hated at worse, by many. In this talk I will introduce what makes a fly, and all the amazing ways that they have taken this blueprint and torn it up. Thankfully we are beginning to properly look at these explorers and figure out how we can learn from them in the process.
