A celebration of the many aspects of the nation's iconic tree and its significance in the landscape, history, economy and culture of Britain, also featuring fascinating cameos of some of the most famous trees.
Professional photographer Archie Miles has written and photographed eight books on trees, including the monographs "The British Oak" (2013) and "Ash" (2018), and contributed to many others. He has worked with several major tree-related organizations, including The Woodland Trust, Tree Council & Forestry Commission. His comprehensive picture library contains over 50,000 tree photographs and related historical archive material.
